Questions & Answers

Does the practice offer 24 hr Emergency Service?

Yes. As a registered patient of the practice, you will be entitled to emergency advice from one of our dentists. If the emergency occurs during normal opening hours, please telephone the practice as soon as possible. You will be asked the nature of the problem. (This is to help our reception staff to make the most appropriate appointment for you). If the emergency occurs outside normal clinic times, please telephone the practice, listen carefully to the answer phone message and follow the instructions given.

Does the practice accept NHS patients?

Yes. Children under the age of 16 can be registered as NHS patients.

Does the practice offer any finance schemes?

Yes. Patients are free to register with the practice on a private 'pay-as-you-go' basis. Fee paying patients will be provided with an itemised estimate of the charges. Sometimes your estimate may be modified in light of changes to your planned treatment. You will be required to pay for treatment received after every visit. We accept cash, cheques, with a valid bankers card, credit / debit card payments. For long courses of treatment or treatments involving laboratory work, such as crown and bridge or dentures, a 50% deposit is normally required at the commencement of treatment. Children under the age of 16 can be registered as NHS patients.

Does the practice offer Denplan packages?

Yes. The practice has been awarded Denplan Excel status. This means that the practice must satisfy requirements which are inspected on an annual basis. This accreditation is aimed at providing a consistent approach to validated quality assured dental care. The requirements of Denplan Excel ensure that the team are abreast of current legislation and accepted good practice. Once dentally fit, patients are also given the option of joining the Denplan care capitation scheme. Denplan offers set monthly fees which cover all aspects of routine dental treatment. This allows you to budget for regular affordable preventative dental care. The scheme also includes an insurance aspect which offers a 24 hour worldwide help-line for immediate assistance in the event of a dental emergency outside normal working hours. Denplan patients can choose to make an annual payment for their dental care or to pay a set monthly subscription by direct debit. A system known as Denplan Enhance offers interest free credit for more expensive treatment plans.
